Description: This sculpture was inspired by the incredible fortitude of the lone wind swept tree found gripping the edge of a cliff. The hand forged steel tree sits atop a quartzite stone that had sat in a stone wall gathering moss for over a century. The sculpture is able to be turned due to a lazy susan that is hidden between the stone and the pedestal. Because of the built in copper light on the pedestal when the tree is turned, the light casts an upwards glare on the branches creating a larger than life shadow on the ceiling.
